Queer Soup Night is a Brooklyn-born queer party with soup at its center. Each event raises money for a community org, highlights the talent of queer chefs, and nourishes our community by gathering in an atmosphere of authentic inclusiveness.

QSN is now in the Hudson Valley and it's coming to KINGSTON!

Join us at The Beverly on Thursday, June 20th for some yummy soup, queer community, and some jams with all the local queers and their allies. For this special event we are also partnering with the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center on this pride-month Solidarity Thursday; they have put together a training in conjunction with the New York Transgender Advocacy Group that will run from 6PM-7:30PM, immediately followed by soup good times til 9:30PM.

This is an especially special Thursday as it also happens to be Solidarity Thursday at Pansy Club.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: (6PM-7:30PM, free!) ASL interpretation will be provided.

Join the New York Transgender Advocacy Group for a GENDA Know Your Rights training. This interactive case-based training will give participants all the information they need to understand how the law affects those who identify as Transgender & Gender Non-Conforming/Non-Binary. RSVP's appreciated so we know how many handouts to print--send an email to f.brenner@lgbtqcenter.org if you'd like to attend.

After this training, participants will:

- Identify what falls under discrimination with the passage of GENDA.
- Know how to report instances of discrimination in all domains of life under GENDA (e.g. housing, employment, etc.)
- Develop a toolkit of resources that they can use and share with their community.

The Gender Expression Non-Discrimination Act (GENDA), which historically passed in January 2019, protects New Yorkers who identify as Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming/Non-Binary (TGNCNB); by including gender identity and expression to existing human rights law. This covers the following domains:

- Housing
- Employment
- Education
- Public Accommodations and Healthcare
- Equal Access to Credit
- Freedom From Harassment
