Die Jim Crow

Friday, March 27th at 7pm Freedom Highway & Rise Up Kingston are proud to present Die Jim Crow - a free hip-hop show featuring BL Shirelle, Maserati E, and Antwan “Banks” Williams, co-founder of the Ear Hustle podcast.

Die Jim Crow is a project that began in 2013 as a concept album about racial injustice in the U.S. prison system--now expanding to become the first non-profit record label in the United States for formerly and currently incarcerated musicians.

For this show they are organizing three great musicians from across the country who were formerly incarcerated, bringing them here to Kingston for a live show of their original music..

At the show you can connect with Rise Up Kingston to learn about how we’re fighting to end the Criminal Injustice system in Kingston and across NY State and you can find out how to take action to make change.

The show is 18+ and free of charge, and we’re expecting a big turnout so be sure to RSVP!
